Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering

Administered by the Department of Mechanical Engineering, this postgraduate program aims to meet the standards of leading international and Saudi universities. It equips students with the knowledge and skills required to develop, manage, and innovate in the field of mechanical engineering. Designed in accordance with Saudi Vision 2030, the program prepares engineers and researchers in advanced mechanical engineering fields. The two-year program spans four semesters and covers advanced topics such as Advanced Applied Mechanics, Properties of Advanced Materials, Material Characterization and Testing, Robotics and Automation, Desalination, and Nuclear Energy. It provides students with advanced knowledge and the ability to analyze, design, and implement various equipment and processes focusing on mechanical engineering concepts.  Tailored to meet local and regional market needs, the program adheres to the national framework of qualifications and NCAAA accreditation standards. It also fosters scientific research in mechanical engineering. Graduates can pursue careers in sectors such as structural analysis, energy systems, manufacturing, and automotive. Additionally, students who complete 24 credit hours of core and elective courses but choose not to undertake a thesis/project may be awarded a higher diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
