قسم الهندسة الصناعية في كلية الهندسة يقدم برنامج للحصول علي درجة "بكالوريوس العلوم في الهندسة الصناعية" وهو أحد الفروع الهندسية التي تنشد تحقيق الحلول المثلى من العمليات المعقدة أو النظم الهندسية والمنظمات. ويهدف البرنامج أساسا القضاء على هدر الوقت والمال والمواد وساعات العمل وغيرها من الموارد التي لا تولد قيمة. ولذلك اصبحت الهندسة الصناعية مجالا مهنيا واسعا يهتم بدراسة وتحليل وتصميم وإدارة النظم والعمليات المتكاملة لتنظيم الموارد الأساسية فى الإنتاج - البشر والمواد والمعدات والمعلومات - لتحقيق أهدام محددة. وقد أدى التزايد فى تعقيد المنظمات الصناعية والخدمية الحديثة وتأكيدها على الجودة وزيادة الفعالية والإنتاجية من خلال عمليات الأتمتة والحوسبة إلى زيادة الطلب على جيل جديد من خريجى الهندسة الصناعية. وعلى الرغم من أن هذا التخصص حديث نسبيا فقد تطور على مدى العقود الثلاثة الماضية و أصبح بالفعل واحدا من أكبر المجالات الهندسية وأسرعها نموا. مدة البرنامج خمس سنوات مقسمة إلى عشرة مستويات (فصول دراسية). ويعتبر المستوى الأول والثاني برنامج السنة التحضيرية قبل الأكاديميين الأساسية في القسم. قد تم تنفيذ البرنامج معايير (NCAAA) ويطمح للحصول على الاعتماد (ABET) في المستقبل القريب.

1. The Ability to analyze problems and create innovative engineering designs in the field of industrial engineering, taking into account design functionality, cost effectiveness, sustainability, safety, aesthetic appearance, and customer satisfaction.
2. The Ability to use modern technology and design tools, work effectively individually and in a group, and exchange ideas clearly in written, oral, and graphical forms.
3. The Ability to increase his personal knowledge and professional and academic skills.

The Department of Industrial Engineering has several teaching and research laboratories, which are well equipped with cutting-edge technological equipment. All these resources are used to train undergraduate and postgraduate students and conduct research projects by researchers and faculty to serve the society and contribute to the overall development process of the country.
