Administered by the Department of Mechanical Engineering, this postgraduate program aims to align with the standards of leading international and Saudi universities. It equips students with the knowledge and skills required to develop, manage, and innovate in the field of renewable energy. Designed in accordance with Saudi Vision 2030, the program prepares engineers and researchers in advanced fields of Renewable Energy and Environment. Spanning four semesters (two years), the program covers advanced topics such as Solar Energy, Computational Fluid Dynamics, Finite Element Method, Desalination, and Nuclear Energy etc. It provides students with advanced knowledge and the ability to analyze, design, and implement various equipment and processes central to mechanical engineering concepts. The program is tailored to meet local and regional market needs, adhering to the national framework of qualifications and NCAAA accreditation standards. It also fosters scientific research in Renewable Energy and Environment. Graduates can pursue careers in sectors such as energy production, environmental consulting, research and development, and policy-making. Further, the student would be eligible to be awarded a higher diploma in Mechanical Engineering in case he has successfully completed 24 credit hours through the prescribed core and elective courses but do not wish to take a thesis/project.
