This thesis investigates RIS-assisted OFDMA-based Integrated Sensing and Communication (ISAC) systems for 6G networks. Two optimization frameworks, namely Alternating Optimization (AO) and Block Coordinate Descent with Successive Convex Approximation (BCD-SCA), are developed to jointly optimize subcarrier allocation, beamforming, and RIS phase shifts. A dual sensing validation framework incorporating illumination-based sensing and OFDM radar processing is introduced for target range, velocity, and angle estimation. Simulation results demonstrate high communication throughput, reliable sensing performance, and the effectiveness of RIS-assisted propagation, with BCD-SCA providing improved convergence and sensing reliability compared to AO.

We cordially invite all faculty members and students to attend this important event. The defense will take place on Tuesday, June 16, 2026, at 3 :30 PM. in room B15-3-2-012 at the College of Engineering. Your presence and participation will not only support Abdullah Mohammed but also foster an engaging academic discussion.
