Committee Head Information
Committee Tasks
  • 1- Coordinating the class schedules within the department, taking into consideration:
  • 1.1- The department’s teaching load schedule.
  • 1.2- The distribution of students across course sections for each subject.
  • 1.3- Fulfillment of educational quality requirements.
  • 2- Implementing clear and simplified procedures regarding course registration, as well as course addition and withdrawal.
  • 3- Coordinating with the Deanship of Admission and Registration in all matters related to student transfers, postponements, dismissals, withdrawals, and re-enrollment.
  • 4- Coordinating with the General Administration of Scholarships regarding the admission of international students into diploma and bachelor’s programs, in accordance with applicable regulations and procedures.
  • 5- Coordinating the exam schedules within the department in collaboration with the College's Scheduling and Curriculum Committee and the Deanship of Admission and Registration, taking into account the following:
  • 5.1- Approval of the student distribution schedule in classrooms according to the department’s study plan.
  • 5.2- Disseminating examination instructions through all available means.
  • 5.3- Preparing classrooms with everything needed to ensure the exams are conducted optimally.
  • 5.4- Ensuring that no student has overlapping exams at the same time.
  • 5.5- Striving to avoid having two exams for a student on the same day.
  • 5.6- Approving the schedule for distributing faculty members across exam rooms, while ensuring fairness and objectivity.
  • 5.7- Approving clear and simplified procedures for organizing the examination process in the department, including: student arrival before the exam time, distribution of questions to rooms, filling out attendance and absence sheets, student exit procedures, and the collection and submission of answer booklets.
  • 5.8- Enforcing the applicable regulations and laws according to each case, such as in cases of cheating, causing disturbances, or inciting disorder in the exam room.
  • 6- Coordinating alternative exam schedules for students in accordance with applicable regulations and laws, and considering all mentioned in paragraph (1.4).
  • 7- Taking all necessary actions to ensure the exam process runs optimally and finding appropriate solutions at the right time.
  • 8- Approving reports on exam procedures, addressing issues that arise, and proposing suitable recommendations for the future.
  • 9- Implementing the mechanisms for student appeals regarding exam results, and handling all cases submitted to the committee in accordance with the applicable regulations and policies.
  • 10- Reviewing all matters referred by the department chair and submitting appropriate recommendations or making decisions within the limits of the authority granted or delegated in writing by the authorized person.
