The Department of Electrical Engineering at the College of Engineering is pleased to announce the upcoming master’s thesis defense of our student, Abdulmjeed Ali Abdulaziz Alshaya. Abdulmjeed will present his research on the topic titled “Comparison and Analysis of Various Types of Generators Topologies in Wind Energy Conversion Systems.” 
This comprehensive analysis explores different generator topologies used in wind energy conversion systems, highlighting their operational efficiencies and suitability for various applications. The study compares traditional and advanced generator types, such as induction, permanent magnet, and doubly-fed induction generators, to identify their strengths and limitations. By evaluating these configurations, the research aims to optimize wind energy systems for improved performance and reliability. The findings are expected to guide the selection of appropriate generator topologies for future sustainable wind power projects.
