Congratulations to Dr. Roohul Abad Khan and his team “Geovision 2030” for achieving First Place in the “Smart Technologies”

The Department of Civil Engineering is proud to extend its heartfelt congratulations to Dr. Roohul Abad Khan and his team “Geovision 2030” for achieving First Place in the “Smart Technologies” track for the challenge “Optimizing Exploration Efficiencies” in the prestigious “Future Metals Pioneers” competition, held under the supervision of the Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources and organized by the National Industrial Development and Logistics Program (NDLP). The team’s award-winning project, entitled: “Delineation of Rare Earth Element Prospectivity Zones in Al Lith, Saudi Arabia, Using Geoinformatics and Lab Techniques,”
showcased exceptional innovation in integrating geospatial intelligence and laboratory analysis to support the Kingdom’s sustainable mineral resource development.

The Geovision 2030 team consisted of:

  • Dr. Muhammad Arshad Khan (Department of Chemical Engineering)
  • Dr. Muhammed Danish (Department of Chemical Engineering)
  • Engr. Yasser Al-Hahmari – Department of Chemical Engineering

This remarkable accomplishment reflects the team’s scientific excellence, interdisciplinary collaboration, and contribution to advancing smart technologies in mining exploration, in line with Saudi Vision 2030.
