Committee Tasks
  1. Coordination  between  faculty  members  in  the  department  to  determine  the  technical  specifications  for  educational  and  research  devices,  supplies  and  means,  and  adopting  the  appropriate  standards  for  the  most  suitable  supplier..
  2. Studying  purchase  requests  received  from  faculty  members  in  the  department,  and  providing  appropriate  recommendations  to  the  person  authorized to  make  the  appropriate  decision  to  purchase,  or  referring  it  to  the  relevant  authorities,  to  follow  up  on  what  is  necessary  regarding  its  supply,  at  the  appropriate  price  and  at  the  specified  time,  for  educational  and  research  laboratory  equipment, educational  supplies, teaching  aids.
  3. Coordinating  the  needs  of  faculty  members  in  the  department  for  equipment,  supplies  and  tools,  and  stating  their  number,  quantity  and  type,  to  organize  the  volume  of  requests  for  them  and  supply  them,  to  benefit  from  the  advantages  of  cash  discounts,  technical  support  and  other  advantages  provided  by  suppliers.
  4. Coordinating  with  the  Educational  Services  Committee  in  other  departments  of  the  college,  to  benefit  from  the  existing  devices,  supplies  and  means,  to  ensure  optimal  investment  in  them  and  reduce  the  levels  of  waste  in  them. 
  5. 5.Evaluating  the  services  provided  in  educational  and  research  laboratories,  measuring  their  suitability  for  the  requirements  of  the  departments’  study  plans,  at  the  undergraduate  and  postgraduate  levels,  and  the  requirements  of  scientific  research,  and  sending  the  evaluation  results  to  the Development  and  Quality  Committee  to  benefit  from  them  in  its  work. 
  6. Managing  educational  risks,  and  working  to  develop  a  strategic  plan  at  the  department  level  to  confront  all  potential  risks  in  the  educational  process, before  and  during  their  occurrence,  and  the  procedures  that  ensure  that  they  do  not  occur,  or  alert  and  warn  before  that. 
  7. Ensure  the  presence  of  safety  requirements  in  all  laboratories,  ensure  the  continuous  presence  of  safety  means,  follow  risk  prevention  procedures,  and  implement  immediate  safety  procedures  when  any  danger  occurs. 
  8. Ensure  that  all  procedures  are  written  in  standard  forms  at  the  department  level,  in  all  analytical  processes 
  9. In  laboratories,  and  in  all  educational,  research  and  experimental  methods  in  laboratories,  and  focusing  on  the  following:
  • - Name  of  analysis  or  method. - Location  and  number  of  the  laboratory  where  the  method  will  be  performed  or  the  laboratory  where  the  analysis  will  be  performed. - The  equipment  used  in  the  method  or  the  materials  used  in  the  analysis. - A  statement  of  the  type  of  materials  used  in  the  method  or  analysis,  and  a  statement  of  the  risks  resulting  from  their  use. - A  detailed  description  of  the  analysis  or  method,  stating  the  potential  risks  and  expected  results, take  all  necessary  precautions. - The  method  of  disposing  of  the  chemicals  used  in  the  analysis  and  resulting  from  it,  and  how  to  dispose  of  them.
