Committee Head Information
Committee Tasks
  1. Active participation in orientation programs for new students and introducing them to the academic regulations, university services, and the organizational structure of the department.
  2. Approval of students' study plans by the academic advisor prior to electronic registration and providing the necessary consultations to ensure their correct academic progress.
  3. Monitoring the performance of underachieving students and maintaining continuous communication with them, and designing programs that support raising their grades and improving their academic achievement.
  4. Studying the excuses submitted by students in case of absence from lectures, midterm, and final exams, and activating guidance and counseling programs in all aspects (Preventive / Developmental / Curative).
  5. Providing individual counseling services for students with academic, social, psychological, and professional challenges, including students with special needs.
  6. Providing individual counseling services for students with academic, social, psychological, and professional challenges, including students with special needs.
  7. Identifying students who require financial support, and coordinating with relevant parties within the university, such as the Student Fund, to provide direct support to them.
  8. Raising awareness of the family, community, and the department in the university about the importance of guidance and counseling through publications, lectures, and participation in various media (print, visual, and audio).
  9. Submitting periodic reports to the Head of the Department containing all Committee meeting minutes, reports related to student cases, and all requests and suggestions related to student affairs and academic advising.
