Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has been blessed by vast natural resources and these resources have been utilized for the progress of the country and welfare of its people. The proper utilization of these natural resources led to the opening of Chemical Engineering under College of Engineering (COE) at King Khalid University (KKU). The Chemical Engineering Department was established in year 2007 in Abha, with the objective of graduating students having expertise in all the aspects of Chemical Engineering. During the first year of its inception, Chemical Engineering Department was run under the Chairmanship of Mechanical Engineering Department and after one year from 2008,
Graduate programs in Chemical Engineering need applicants to possess high levels of educational competency, potential for performing engineering research, and the ability to make contributions to the chemical industry in the Kingdom and the Arab world. To achieve quality, recognition, and leadership in chemical engineering education, research, training, and consulting in order to develop society. The goal of the Chemical Master's program is to become an unmatched center for teaching and learning that gives graduates the skills of critical thinking. It will employ existing research resources, assist local and global communities, and generate innovative solutions to regional and global chemical engineering dilemmas.
