An intelligent community will always cherish and flourish by adopting the motto "Information is wealth and knowledge is power". Searching for desired information and contributing a new area of knowledge have become essential academic activities of any community. In this era of boundless information, for an inquisitive mind, scientific and systematic search and for a particular information on a specific topic and its analysis is a very tedious activity. Since the significance of research lies in its quality and not in quantity, a scientific methodology is required for a successful research. A scientific research comprises of defining and redefining problems, formulating the hypothesis or suggested solutions; collecting, organizing and evaluating data; making deductions and conclusions; and at last carefully testing the conclusions to determine whether they fit the formulated hypothesis.

This two-day workshop presents an overview of the research methodology. It is expected that this workshop will enable the students in understanding the most appropriate methodology for their research or graduation project studies and make them familiar with the art of using different methods and techniques for their project or research works.
