Student Admission and Support

1. Student Admission Requirements:

  1. Be a Saudi citizen, with limited seats for International Countries citizens.
  2. Fulfill postgraduate admission requirements.
  3. Hold a B.Sc. degree in Engineering, with a General and Science Grade Point Averages as specified and announced annually by the College Board.
  4. Pass General Aptitude test.
  5. Pass Standard Achievement Admission Test.
  6. Pass a physical fitness check-up as specified by the College of Engineering.
  7. Preference in admission is given to applicants who have obtained their B.Sc. degree in the same academic year.
  8. Obtain 3.0 GPA in B.Sc. degree in Engineering.

 

 

2. Guidance and Orientation Programs for New Students:

The students are invited to an orientation meeting one week before the start of study. In this meeting, the chairman and all program staff attend. They describe the program characteristics to the students and answer their questions. Also, the facilities’ capabilities are explained. At the end, a welcome party is hold with refreshments.

 

 

3. Student Counseling Services:

  1. A Department Council Committee (DCC) is responsible to monitor the student counseling service.
  2. Each faculty member is nominated as an academic supervisor to provide academic counseling and advice to students.
  3. The faculty member announces 10 office hours schedule for such counseling and course-related help(a) A Department Council Committee (DCC) is responsible to monitor the student counseling service.

4. Special Support:

  1. Academic supervisors are responsible to provide continuous help to students struggling with low GPAs.
  2. Academic supervisors along with Department Council Committee (DCC) conduct counseling from time to time to help students achieve all-around development.
  3. DCC monitors the counseling helps given by the academic supervisor.
  4. Special students are given special privileges as admissible under rules.
  5. In case of any grievance is resolved on the top priority.
  6. Gifted and talented students are given all the facilities for utilizing their talent for community service/students club.
  7. Special awards, rewards, and certificates are given to boost students performance.
